Drug Endangered Children: Identification and Intervention

This course examines the issues surrounding drug endangered children for service professionals and supports early identification and intervention. The course also describes the legal requirements of mandatory reporters and the Indian Child Welfare Act. This course is offered tuition-free by Lamar Associates-Indian Country Training. H1N1 Flu - New!

This new virus was first detected in people in the United States in April 2009 and has re-emerged as an epidemic in the US in 2013-2014. This virus is spreading from person-to-person worldwide, probably in much the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. The purpose of this course is to provide information on the H1N1 flu virus and to recommend ways to avoid spread of the virus.

Calculus and Vectors

This course builds on students' previous experience with functions and their developing understanding of rates of change. Students will solve problems involving geometric and algebraic representations of vectors and representations of lines and planes in three-dimensional space; broaden their understanding of rates of change to include the derivatives of polynomial, sinusoidal, exponential, rational, and radical functions; and apply these concepts and skills to the modelling of real-world relationships.
