This course examines alternative drugs of abuse, specifically over-the-counter drugs and synthetics. The course examines the signs and symptoms of abuse, types of substances abused, and resources in prevention. This course is offered tuition-free by Lamar Associates-Indian Country Training. This course increases awareness of prescription, synthethic and over the counter drug abuse. The course covers prescription drug diversion, proper disposal, cough medicines and synthetic drugs such as K-2 Spice (synthetic marijuana), and bath salts.
