Assessing and Managing Anxiety in Youth and Adolescents with Developmental and/or Intellectual Disabilities
Youth and adolescents with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities experience anxiety and various anxiety disorders at higher rates than their neurotypical peers. Assessing and managing their anxiety can be particularly difficult due to challenges with language, communication, emotional awareness, and cognition.
