Permit Required Confined Space (PRCS) The Types and Rescue Requirements describe the roles and duties of the authorized entrant, attendant, and supervisor.
Additional topics include the two types of confined spaces, the use of appropriate PPE and retrieval devices based on the hazards of the space, and different entry rescue service options.
An interactive simulation is included where the learner plays the role of the attendant. The attendant's objective is to perform pre-entry checks, review the entry permit, communicate with the entrant, assess whether or not it is safe for the entrant to enter the space, evaluate and respond to hazards, approve or suspend the entry permit, and perform rescue from outside the PRCS.
