Description
This course is intended for employees who generate, manage, store, or handle hazardous waste and are responsible for compliance with the 49 CFR Hazardous Materials transport requirements. This course will provide function specific training on the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), determination of a hazardous waste, accumulation requirements, packaging, marking and labeling for transport to an authorized disposal, recovery, or reclamation location in accordance with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations under 49 CFR.

Target Audience:
Environmental Coordinators, waste generators of all sizes, and employees with job responsibilities that include:
- Handling, managing, or store hazardous waste
- Classification or characterization of hazardous waste
- Accumulation of hazardous waste
- Selecting packaging, filling, or closing packaging for hazardous waste
- Marking and labeling packages containing hazard waste
- Placarding or providing placards for transport
- Preparing or validating and signing hazardous waste manifests
- Estimated Time: 2h55m run-time, plus assessment time which varies per person

- Includes final assessment to validate student’s understanding of material
- Training certificate will be issued upon successful completion of course
- Note: Upon issuance, the training certificate must be signed by both the employee and the employer.
