Description
This course may be used for both initial and recurrent training.
This course is intended for the training of hazmat / dangerous goods employees responsible for the handling, shipping, or transportation of fully regulated and excepted lithium batteries by all modes in accordance with the requirements of the 49 CFR for the US, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations (TDGR) for Canada, using as well as those of ADR for Contracting Parties. This course also covers the requirements for shipping lithium batteries by air and vessel in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Technical Instructions and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), as well as those of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, respectively.

Target Audience:
Hazmat / dangerous goods employees and their supervisors (including office and customer service staff) who work for shippers, carriers, freight forwarders, third party logistics companies, and who handle, prepare shipments, transport, or offer lithium batteries by all modes domestically and internationally.

The current edition of the 49 CFR, TDGR, ADR, IMDG Code, and IATA DGR are required for this course.
