This course is dedicated to enhancing workplace fire safety awareness by addressing the diverse types of fires that can occur. Participants will gain insights into the distinct chemical reactions and combustion characteristics of fires caused by various materials, such as ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids, energized electrical equipment, combustible metals, and cooking fluids. The training emphasizes the importance of understanding different classes of fire extinguishers, their appropriate usage based on fire types, and the critical role of recognizing pictograms for effective response. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the different types of workplace fires, their chemical reactions, and the corresponding classes of fire extinguishers. Recognize the spatial requirements for accessing specific fire extinguisher classes based on the nature of workplace hazards, ensuring optimal readiness in case of a fire emergency. Acquire the ability to interpret pictograms on fire extinguishers to determine their suitability for extinguishing specific types of fires, fostering a proactive approach to fire safety.
