This new virus was first detected in people in the United States in April 2009 and has re-emerged as an epidemic in the US in 2013-2014. This virus is spreading from person-to-person worldwide, probably in much the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. The purpose of this course is to provide information on the H1N1 flu virus and to recommend ways to avoid spread of the virus.
