While this can seem like a daunting task, if it is carefully planned, and executed, making the leap to an online training course can be the beginning of a whole new avenue to deliver and expand your audience.

Here are 7 steps to follow that can assist you.

1. Take an Online course.

Look at how it is designed, its length, if there are any testing objects incorporated into it, and how the outcomes are measured.

2. SCORM

The first decision you will need to make is if you want to use Coggno’s online tools to create the course, or if you’d like to use a SCORM authoring tool. To make this decision, do some research around the tools that are available, and the expectations of your learners. There are pros and cons of going either way, and by doing some quick research you can decide which is the best way to go.

3. Gap Analysis

In other words, what are the differences between the structure of your course, and what will be needed to take it online? If it is an instructor lead course, what would best serve your learners when translating it to an online environment? Do you need to do some video recording?
