One example is blogs. In this learning system, there is a central spot where people post and can view each other’s information, without having to recur to the messiness of a barrage of emails. It is a flexible and enriching learning system, as, for example, when a student thinks of something related to what was seen in class and thinks it would be interest or help to a fellow student, he or she can post it on the blog despite the class being over.

Using social software as part of a learning system makes the delivery fast, convenient, and a little less formal, which makes some types of learners feel more comfortable making their voice heard than with the formal structure of a class at school.
