Description
School avoidance and refusal can be a concern for families and educators alike. Whether it's anxiety, emotional distress, or other underlying challenges, the impact on students—and those who support them—is real.
This session will consider reasons why a student may not want to go to school and share tools and strategies for parents and school teams to work together to support school attendance.
Participants will review research pertaining to school avoidance, learn how to consider the “big picture” as it applies to their student or child attending school, and learn strategies to work collaboratively to support the child’s success in attending school.
