Description
This interactive course introduces you to measures you can take to protect yourself when faced with workplace violence from customers or other coworkers. The course equips you with knowledge of de-escalation tactics, the use of security alarms and panic buttons, and your employer's site-specific emergency response procedures. You will complete active-shooter drills and interact with characters through a series of realistic workplace violence scenarios involving coworkers and customers. This course complies with New York's Retail Worker Safety Act (New York Labor Law Section 27-e.). The course can also be used by retail employers nationwide.
