Workplace Safety (Federal OSHA)
Requirements
- Provide a workplace free of recognized hazards under the OSHA General Duty Clause
- Train workers on hazards relevant to their jobs (hazard communication, machine safety, fall protection, PPE, etc.)
- Maintain OSHA injury and illness records (300 logs) where applicable
- Public employers must comply with equivalent PERRP standards enforced by Ohio BWC

Certification Details
- OSHA 10-Hour Outreach cards document baseline safety training for workers

- Retain training records to demonstrate compliance during inspections
Penalties
- Serious violations: up to approximately $16,550 each
- Willful or repeated violations: up to approximately $165,514 each
- Failure-to-abate: additional daily penalties until corrected
