Some of the video did not meet real world experience

I learned so much for my training and for life in general.

Sometimes the modules would glitch when I complete them, so I would have to go back to some modules.

I had multiple issues with moving forward in the class. The class is very dated and takes so much extra time watching the woman hike and seeing the scenery. I feel strongly that there was way too much wasted time that detracted from the material.

It appears to be a 10 year old course. There are a few things that show that, mention of cassettes, and other technology comments. The intro clips with the outdoor hiking references have, in my view, rather empty stretches where nothing is presented, nothing is said, and seem unusually lengthy for any sort of "setting the scene" exercise.

A much appreciated course. Lots of info and lots to think about. I had hoped there would be more info about the stages of physical death in a more specific way (skin pallor, awareness, etc), but the information given was helpful and good.

I do not like doing learning programs online. However, I thought it was a good program and I learned a lot. Thank you.

There is a lot of common since throughout the course, but also a lot of great information to help one look deep inside and evaluate what is inside. I really enjoyed this course.

I found the information in the last chapter needing some updating. Burnout is not related to personal loss, but instead is related to institutional stresses. I train on this topic and found some of the information outdated. Also the five stages of grief by Kubler are also outdated and not an industry standard as a whole- I believe the section on grief could be updated with more current research. Overall great course!

I am finding these modules excruciatingly redundant. Either provide the material in a video, or in written format, but not both.

This is an excellent class in every way. I only gave it a four for difficulty because the self-examination involved can be difficult, though important. The course is comprehensive, caring, meaningful, and is so much more than just information about hospice. I highly recommend it.

It was not difficult. Long and almost tedious at times (just because it moved slowly at times) but good information.

Learned so much. I am grateful I was able to take this course. Would highly recommend it to anyone beginning to work in a Hospice for any reason.

The course material was very helpful in terms of understanding what it is like to volunteer at hospice.

Very informative and pleasant to watch. I enjoyed all the stories and advice from everyone on the team.

Excellent class. Interesting and enjoyable. Watching Joanne walk through the wilderness as she spoke made it easier to listen to. I liked the format of alternating videos with reading material. It was good to get the perspective of the different members of the hospice team.

This was a very insightful course and doing the activities gave me a much deeper understanding of the material and myself.

I am having a terrible time getting through this program. The links are not working right.

Even though I have been working in hospice as a massage therapist for 3 years, I learned so much from this course. Volunteer opportunities dovetail with my responsibilities as a therapist and I find myself volunteering often. Now, I have the tools to do an even better job.

Loved the combination of videos and text book. The questions were extremely helpful and relevant.

Few things I needed to read twice but that is normal.

Good and thoughtful program

I found the content very appropriate, and having it said to me and then in writing made it more memorable. It was time consuming, but I set aside the time, and enjoyed the journey. Well done!

Wonderful course for volunteers who have had little or no experience dealing with patients who are in their last stage of life and their families. I found problems with some of the videos sound. The course covers a lot and some of the videos are duplicated which could be a hurdle for some viewers.

The course content is completely valid. For volunteers who will not be turning and doing range of motion exercises with patients, there should be a way to skip this training. It appears to me that the video portion of the training is a complete duplicate of the written content. While the video scenes are very well done, the duplication of content is VERY time consuming. One concern that I have is that the time required to complete all of the training could be an obstacle to the availability of volunteers.
