Description

1,3-Butadiene ranks 36th in the most produced chemicals in the United States. Three billion pounds per year are produced in the United States and 12 billion globally. 1,3-butadiene is produced through the processing of petroleum and is mainly used in the production of synthetic rubber, but is also found in smaller amounts in plastics and fuel. Exposure to 1,3-butadiene mainly occurs in the workplace, including the following industries: synthetic elastomer (rubber and latex) production, petroleum refining, secondary lead smelting, water treatment, agricultural fungicides, production of raw material for nylon, and the use of fossil fuels. Exposure can also occur from automobile exhaust; polluted air and water near chemical, plastic or rubber facilities; cigarette smoke; and ingestion of foods that are contaminated from plastic or rubber containers.

About us

In the 1970's, our founder was crippled in a mining accident. His training for the job consisted of 45 minutes of instructions on how to drive a TEREX rock truck fully loaded up and down a mountain. The training was inadequate and am paying the consequences for the rest of my life. We understand that an injured employee and his employer are not the only ones affected by an incident. Entire families are affected, many times for generations. That's why we are in this business, to make training available (and affordable) for anyone to assist in preventing injuries at work or home.

Vision

It's simple, when it comes to safety, we want everyone to be trained; No Excuses, No Bull. We focus our efforts in creating effective affordable and accessible solutions so that everyone can be trained, minimizing the cost, the resources needed, and train 24/7, anytime and place.

Our experience

Consolidated Digital Publishing Inc. (CDP), for 30+ years as served as a full service production, course development and content provider for your QHSE Classroom, CBT and Internet-based training to firms worldwide.

Our training model

Develop a global community to support a social constructionist framework of QHSE education which is simple to use and affordable for any individual or firm.
