Description

Human trafficking can occur in virtually any community, industry, or workplace. Human Trafficking Awareness: Recognizing the Signs and Knowing What to Do – Spanish provides Spanish-speaking employees with the knowledge they need to recognize potential indicators of labor and sex trafficking and respond safely and appropriately.

Presented entirely in Spanish, this practical workplace training explains how traffickers may use force, fraud, coercion, threats, debt, deception, financial control, isolation, and other forms of manipulation to exploit individuals. Employees learn to recognize potential warning signs such as restricted freedom, controlled transportation or housing, withheld identification documents, wage manipulation, excessive working hours, unsafe living or working conditions, unusual levels of control, and signs of physical or psychological distress.

Because human trafficking is often hidden, recognizing it is not always straightforward. The course teaches employees to look for patterns rather than rely on a single warning sign, stereotype, or assumption. Employees also learn how to document what they observe, respond appropriately when someone discloses possible exploitation, and follow established organizational reporting procedures.

Most importantly, the Spanish-language training reinforces a critical message: recognize and report—do not confront, rescue, or investigate.
