This course may be used for both initial and recurrent training.
This course is intended for the training of hazmat employees responsible for the handling, preparation, shipping, or transportation of hazardous materials by ground in accordance with the requirements of the 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), i.e., the Hazardous Materials Regulations of the US Department of Transportation (DOT). This course complies with the required training elements of general awareness and function specific training, as well as those of safety and security awareness training.

Navigation of the 49 CFR to determine requirements for the safe transportation of hazardous materials in the US, including:

Target Audience:
Hazmat employees (including office and customer service staff) and their supervisors who work for shippers, carriers, freight forwarders or third-party logistics companies, and who handle, pack, mark, label, placard, prepare/validate shipping documents, address customer returns, and/or offer hazardous materials by ground to, from or within the US.
