Description
The Family and Medical Leave Act, or FMLA, provides certain employees up to 12 weeks of annual unpaid and job-protected leave, and is enforced by the Department of Labor. In 2008, the FMLA was amended to include military leave based on the National Defense Authorization Act. In this program, you'll learn more about the military leave included in the FMLA amendment and how it affects you, as an employer. We'll discuss important terms you need to understand, go over the types of leave employees may request, and take you through some scenarios you might experience.
