Learning management systems allow for all kinds of strategic teaching and e-learning projects. During one project, Alex Strømme tried a new method. His presentation of videos and tests through his university’s learning management system included the delivery of materials for two platforms–PCs and mobile phones.
To find out how students felt about the option of using mobile phones to access the latest material, Strømme carried out extensive research in collaboration with the Lifelong Learning Research Center and the Program for Learning with ICT at NTNU.
The results were overwhelmingly positive. Students had a lot to say about the implementation of the learning management system videos in the curriculum, and praised the possibility of learning-on-the-move with their mobile phones.
