Heat Illness Prevention
Working conditions that include physical exertion, high temperatures, and high humidity can lead to serious health complications—and even death—due to heat stress. That’s why it’s essential for industrial and outdoor workers to have strategies for identifying and dealing with heat stress. This course includes guidance on complying with California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8 (T8), sections 3395 and 3396.
Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
Many employers have written Injury and Illness Prevention Programs (IIPPs or I2P2s) to help protect their workers from health and safety hazards on the job. This training describes IIPP program elements so employees know where to go with questions, concerns and ideas about safety and health issues. Ideal learners are all employees.
Multi-State Considerations
Multi-state employers face differences across jurisdictions in definitions, coverage thresholds, employee protections, documentation requirements, and enforcement approaches. California obligations apply based on where work is performed, where an employee resides, and how a role is structured. A state-specific approach prevents California standards from being diluted by broad national policies while supporting consistent governance across the organization.
